This policy applies to all users of Moduloom accounts and forms part of the Terms of Service (section 6). It explains who is responsible for uploaded materials — above all music and video — and how Moduloom handles requests from rights holders.
1. Responsibility for materials
- Texts, images, fonts, music, audio and video are uploaded to an Account by its users. Moduloom does not check uploaded files for rights and is not their author or distributor.
- You may upload materials only if you have the right to use them in presentations: you are the author, you have purchased a licence, the material is available under a free licence that permits such use, or you have permission from the rights holder.
- Music and video. Before you upload your own audio or video file, the Account asks you to confirm your rights. By ticking the box you confirm that you hold the rights and accept responsibility for using any music or video you do not have the rights to, including towards rights holders and third parties. The confirmation, date, time and user are recorded in the Account log.
- The customer that owns the Account is responsible for the actions of its users and settles rights holders' claims at its own expense; if a claim is brought against Moduloom, the customer compensates the resulting losses.
- Sounds and music from the Moduloom library are provided for use in presentations within the Service and in packages built by the Service. If a rights holder reports an infringement, the sound may be removed from the library and from all Accounts under section 3.
2. How to report an infringement
- A rights holder or its representative sends a notice to support@moduloom.online with the subject “Copyright infringement”.
- The notice should include: the rights holder's details and contacts; a description of the work (title, author, performer); information that allows us to locate the material (a link to the published presentation, file name, company name, screenshot); documents or information confirming the rights; a statement that the use is not authorized by the rights holder; and, for a representative, proof of authority.
- We review notices within 10 business days, or within the deadline set by a competent authority. If information is missing, we will ask the sender for it.
3. Removal of music and video
- Moduloom administrators may, at the request of a rights holder, remove music, audio and video from the Service's servers and from all user accounts holding such files or their exact copies, without prior consent of the customer. Images and other materials infringing third-party rights may be removed in the same way.
- When a file is removed: it is deleted from storage in every Account where copies are found (including copies of presentations and scenarios); slide elements that used it remain without the file; versions published to the viewer app are rebuilt without it; export builds containing it are deleted. A sound from the Moduloom library is removed from the library.
- Administrators may block a removed file from being uploaded again: such a file will be rejected on upload to any Account.
- The Account owner and the user who uploaded the file receive an email listing the removed files and the presentations that used them.
- Moduloom cannot delete copies you downloaded from the Service yourself (ZIP packages for CLM platforms and LMS, presentation archives), copies saved on devices for offline viewing or copies hosted on third-party platforms — you must delete them and rebuild the packages yourself.
- Removal at a rights holder's request is not a breach of our obligations and does not entitle you to a refund. Removed files cannot be restored.
4. If a removal is a mistake
- If you believe a removal is a mistake, send a counter-notice from the “Support” section of your Account or to support@moduloom.online, attaching documents confirming your rights (licence, contract, permission).
- If your rights are confirmed, we lift the upload block and you can upload the file again. The counter-notice may be forwarded to the person who sent the original notice.
5. Repeat infringements
- If an Account receives repeated substantiated notices from rights holders, we may restrict uploading music and video or suspend the Account in accordance with the Terms of Service.
